Dermatology

Orthoderm offers two distinct dermatology services, ensuring you receive the level of care that’s right for you.

Our Affidea Skin Clinic provides fast access to a nurse-led teledermatology service, offering quick assessment and guidance for common skin concerns such as lumps, bumps and moles.

We also provide a consultant-led dermatology service, specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of skin and nail conditions.

Whichever service you choose, Orthoderm is here to ensure you get the expert dermatological care you need.

Affidea Skin Clinic

Get fast diagnosis and treatment for skin conditions

If you are worried about a change or new mole/ lump getting fast access to a specialist dermatology service is important. Long wait times for a face-to-face consultation with dermatologists makes this challenging, so we’ve developed a new approach.

The Affidea Skin Service service offers rapid access to expert skin assessments. A specially trained member of the nursing team will take high-quality images using a dermatoscope, which are reviewed by our GMC registered consultant dermatologists. Patients will be contacted by a member of our team to explain your result with 2-3 working days. If further treatment or investigations are required these will be booked for an in person consultation at one of our clinics.

For some patients, a further appointment may be necessary with one of our GPs to receive a prescription, or with one of our dermatologists if a biopsy or procedure is required.
